Pick-Your-Own Hotline

Our Pick-Your-Own is a great way to spend some time enjoying the country side of the city. Not only do you get some fresh air and exercise; you will also save yourself some money! Vegetables picked and preserved at the peak of freshness and flavour are a delight in the long winter months to follow.

The PYO also serves as an informal recipe exchange among our many different nationalities of pickers. You don't know what to do with fresh eggplant? Just ask, and whether the answer comes from Greece, Romania, the Phillipines, or a host of other countries, you can be sure that the answer will be delicious!

Some Pick-Your-Own essentials before visiting our farm:

  1. Not all of our vegetables are available in the Pick-Your-Own category. In season, we currently offer Beans, Tomatoes, Peppers, Eggplant and Hallowe'en pumpkins for Pick-Your-Own

  2. Starting dates and availability vary according to the weather in any given season.

  3. Phone 905-887-5727 the day you plan to come to the farm. A few times each season, we have to close the PYO fields due to extreme rainfall. It's always a temporary closing, usually only for a few hours; best to check ahead. Our message is changed daily, often several times. Feel free to call anytime of the day or night; 24-7.

  4. Be sure and dress for the weather; boots, hat, sunscreen. Check our local forecast to see what's in store.

  5. Kindly bring your own baskets, bags or containers to pick into. Most plastic garbage bags are not strong enough for corn, squash and other heavy crops; recycling boxes work well. You can purchase heavy duty clear plastic bags from us for 50 cents each.

  6. We love dogs but some of our customers do not. Kindly leave your dog at home.
